This brand was created by Registered Nurse, Alzaouza Kamate who was born and raised in Harlem, New York by West African immigrants. By using her family's history and cultural background she produces Shea butter derived from Africa. As a Nurse working with Mental health patients for over five years, she created the Dose of Nurah as an supplement to help those in need create peace in their own way.

Dose of Nurah was created and inspired by Alzaouza Kamate while she was juggling nursing school, being a mom, and trying to live life all at the same time. As a new entrepreneur, she always knew she wanted to pursue a business that can combine all three of her worlds, a mom, business owner, and nurse.
